This blog is my personal blog about my personal battle with 5 mental illnesses:
1) Major Depressive Disorder w/ psychotic features
2) Generalized Anxiety Disorder
3) Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
4) Borderline Personality Disorder
5) Otherwise Specified Feeding and Eating Disorder

I have Major Depressive disorder which means I have major episodes of depression. I also have psychotic features that go along with my depression. This basically means I have hallucinations, both auditory and visual. If I'm on medication, they are pretty much under control. However, if I am extremely stressed, I will have some visual hallucinations in response to the stress. Additionally, I have a basic anxiety disorder which means I have constant worry and frequent anxiety attacks that can come on for no apparent reason. I have Complex PTSD from a traumatic childhood. Additionally, I have BPD which is probably the most complex disorder I have as it causes the most problems in daily living. This blog primarily focuses on the struggles related to my BPD and PTSD but also includes struggles related to my other mental illnesses. Finally, I just got a recent diagnosis of an eating disorder. I struggle with restricting, bingeing and purging. I engage in all of this at different times, sometimes in combination with each other. Additionally, I have multiple physical illnesses that may be touched on in this blog as well.

My goal with this blog is primarily to raise awareness and understanding about my personal struggle and decrease stigma about mental illness and the disorders I struggle with personally. I occasionally will write articles on specific topics that are for organizations or to raise awareness about specific aspects of living with mental illness. Most blog posts will be related to and about my personal experiences. Overall, I want to offer hope for others out there. Hope that they are not alone in their struggles. I want to use my struggles to help others. That is what this blog is about. I hope you see this reading my posts. Thanks!
